Tavernelle · Montalcino
Armilla is a small family winery on the south-western side of Montalcino.
Here Sangiovese grows in light, wind and ancient soils, becoming Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino.

In the early 1980s the family chose Tavernelle: a farmhouse to restore and a hillside to plant with vines.
A simple, radical dream: building a life around Sangiovese.
Harvest after harvest, the project became an essential winery where every choice has one goal:
letting Montalcino speak.
Armilla’s vineyards lie on Montalcino’s south-western slope, between 320 and 350 meters above sea level.
Afternoon sun exposure, steady winds and galestro-rich soils shape deep, savory wines with slow, complete ripening.
Work in the vineyard is almost entirely manual: measured pruning, low yields, no superfluous interventions.

Parcel selection, long macerations and ageing in large oak casks.
A deep, elegant Brunello, crafted for time.
The most immediate face of Armilla’s Sangiovese: juicy, taut, with a freshness that invites the next sip.
Made for the everyday table.
The winery welcomes guests by appointment for tours and guided tastings.
